The CDC is the leading national public health institute of the United States. The building is used for training CDC personnel, as a museum for the organization, and is open to tourists. This was a new construction project where logistics were a challenging. The roof had different slopes creating a drainage problem. The roof is a Soprema roof with a 2-ply modified bitumen system with a full-tapered insulation package.
