McCamish Pavilion, Georgia Institute of Technology

McCamish Pavilion is an indoor arena located on the campus of the Georgia Tech. It is home to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets men’s basketball and women’s basketball teams, among others. Tip Top Roofers was asked to work with Georgia Tech and two contractors. Because the roof is a dome, Tip Top had to come up with a cable system and rig up special hoisting so we could roof the building. The roof is a two-ply Siplast Veral Aluminum roof system. McCamish Pavilion is a striking building that can be seen from I-75/I-85 corridor passing through Atlanta. The estimator on this project, Ronnie Talbort, attended Georgia Tech so this was a special project for him.
